What I built
I built it end to end: the search-led layout, the listing data in Supabase, how spaces are presented, and the path from browsing to enquiry.

01

Background

The problem

Searching for office space is fragmented and opaque, scattered listings, unclear fees, and no easy way to compare. It's a high-intent decision with a poor experience.

The idea

A search-first marketplace that presents offices as desirable spaces, with no commission, direct contact with the owner, and one obvious path to enquire.

02

Key decisions

  • Decision 1

Search-first, meet high intent head on.

  • Decision 2

Lead with trust: no commission and no middleman.

  • Decision 3

One primary action per view, remove competing choices.

03

How I built it

  1. 01

Built the listing data model in Supabase, including alias resolution so Bilbo, Donostia, Alacant and Valencia land on the ten canonical city names rather than fragmenting the counts.

  2. 02

Made search the hero so intent is served immediately.

  3. 03

Built listings that read as premium, with the trust markers the model can actually back: no commission and direct owner contact.

  4. 04

Placed a single, clear call to action where intent peaks.

04

What came of it

What I learned

  • For high-intent search, clarity and trust convert better than more features.
  • Premium is communicated through imagery and restraint, not more UI.

Next steps

  • Expand beyond the first market.
  • Saved searches and a streamlined enquiry flow.

Business potential

Commercial real estate is high value per transaction. A trusted, no-commission marketplace has clear commercial upside as listing liquidity grows.

Happy to walk through the thinking, the trade-offs and where it's headed next.
