- What I built
- Product concept, the content system, and the experience of finding and printing the right piece each day.

Background
The problem
The December nisse (tomte) tradition is magical for kids but a lot of work for parents, every day needs a new little surprise, and inspiration runs out fast.
The idea
A ready-made kit of printable nisse magic, doors, letters, tasks and treats on A4, so parents can keep the wonder going without the nightly scramble.
Key decisions
- Decision 1
Print-first: work with what families already have at home.
- Decision 2
Keep the magic consistent across every piece.
- Decision 3
Reduce parents' nightly effort to near zero.
How I built it
- 01
Broke the tradition down into reusable printable pieces.
- 02
Designed content that feels magical and consistent day to day.
- 03
Made everything easy to find and print on standard A4.
What came of it
What I learned
- Solving the parent's effort is as important as delighting the kid.
- A strong seasonal ritual can carry a focused product.
Next steps
- Versions for other traditions, which means new writing rather than new plumbing.
Business potential
Highly seasonal but high-intent, parents happily pay to keep a beloved tradition easy. Digital printables mean near-zero marginal cost and strong margins.
Happy to walk through the thinking, the trade-offs and where it's headed next.
